It may be amazing to current computer users who are used to small compact LCD monitors. Not only the initial computer monitors large and cumbersome, but the screens to principles used by computer enthusiasts were Cathode Ray Monitors that were not colored,
Initial screens ancients were monochrome - a color not displaying bright colors that we take for granted today.
Some of these monochrome monitors iridescent green or orange. Others were similar to black and white television, is grayscale.
It is assumed now by surfers young team and players that television always was "color", not the case.
In the television programs in the beginning were "black and white."
Have color TV been developed, but the technology, but widespread use did not occur until the 1970s and even later in some regions.
Emission seen in black and white in color on these sets and color televisions.
Color TVs could receive programs that were in the way black and white. Sort of compatibility back in the day.
What is the difference between the qualities of a television picture screen has a much higher resolution than standard TV.
TVs of the time (as opposed to current high end LCD and plasma televisions high definition) are essentially 1950s technology - even newer games color television. .
The screen display quality of the screen should be stable and good, and that the computer user may sit very close to the screen and spend many hours reading the screen.
If the images are fuzzy (low resolution) and uncertainty you have permanent throbbing headache and wavering eyes in no time.
The monitors have buttons to adjust brightness. On vintage monochrome monitors usually include a control that adjusts the brightness of the illumination of the entire screen, and a contrast knob which makes the light or dark letters Regarding monitors new color screen will have additional adjustments for color.
The question arises - as the vintage CRT (Cathode Ray Tube) monitors initially handle the color technology which came later and became the accepted norm.
A monitor screen color type worked in much the same way as a standard CRT TV.
Inside the picture tube is covered with three different phosphors: red, green and blue.
The phosphors are compounds special chemicals that glow with characteristic colors when bombarded by a flow of electrons.
Phosphorus is "excited" and thanks the properties of the color wheel lights of different color combinations and additives the result that all types of combinations result of the three primary colors.
The end result is that virtually all the rainbow colors can be produced.
And on the white of the eyes play a useful tip. When the three colors are mixed in equal quantities, the eye sees as "white light".
Finally, the sharpness of the color CRT display or a TV image is determined by three factors: the bandwidth monitor, its size and precision point of their convergence.
Although the bandwidth and the mask is not important to determine a good monitor, convergence is the real measure.
In fact, we have come a long way from the simple black and white original vintage monitors. The we now take for granted with LCD monitors and indeed our high definition TV sets all simple origin monochrome CRT technology has merged with technology and advice of the TV industry in color.
We should all be thankful. We owe much to "Uncle Milt.
